Starting from Monte Comino an alpine trail mostly follows the crest up to Pizzin (1643 m), a vantage point. Afterwards descent to Pescialunga and then again an ascent to Cortenuovo, that terminates at the top of Pizzo Ruscada (2004 m) with its outstanding view over the valleys of Centovalli and Onsernone as well as the region of Locarno. To the west the Monte Rosa massif is visible. A possible continuation leads to the alps of the Vigezzo Valley, or return to Monte Comino with possibility of refreshment, accommodation and descent by cableway. Yet another possibility is the descent at Pescialunga in direction of Monte Saorée to Lionza. Following the cantonal road the newly established park of the mills “Parco dei Mulini” can be reached near Borgnone. End of itinerary at Camedo with return home by railway.
