Scenic trail crossing hamlets and “maggenghi” (May hay meadows) once populated, evidence of a thriving agricultural activity in the past. On Monte Comino (one of the most extended in the canton) there are a hundred “rustici” (stone cottages). Near the chapel of “Madonna della Segna” (an interesting edifice of 1647, though the first chapel was already built around 1200) there is the passage used by the “Onsernonesi”, people from the upper Onsernone Valley, prior to the construction of today's road. Branch towards Mosogno, Pizzo Ruscada and Corcapolo. Most of the descending trail to Verdasio is meandering through the meadows of Comino. A visit to the center of Verdasio is a must.
