This was the old mule-track to the lower Onsernone Valley. From Loco, where it is possible to visit the Museo Onsernonese (Museum of the Onsernone Valley) and the “Mulino ad acqua” (watermill), the trail leads down through terraces and “maggenghi” (May hay meadows), testimonies of a tough agricultural past. Past the bridge over the river Isorno, the trail is ascending to the interesting hamlets of Pila and Vosa. Eventually you reach Intragna where the mule-track passes just next to the “Museo regionale delle Centovalli e Pedemonte” (Regional Museum of Centovalli and Pedemonte). It certainly deserves a visit.
